If you would like to reply to an existing post, you have one of three ways of doing it.
1. Press the dark blue reply button that is on top of and below existing posts (at the far right), and type in the big white box that opens up. Then hit the gray "Create Post" button at the lower right when you're ready.
2. The second option is the quick reply. If you scroll down to the bottom of a discussion thread screen, you'll see a blue line labeled Quick Reply, and a text box below it. Type your reply into there and then hit the Post Quick Reply button at the lower left when you're done.
3. If you wish to reply to a specific line of text in any of the previous posts, find the post in question, and then hit the gray "Quote" button at the upper right. This will open a new screen with all of the text from the post in question enclosed within [.quote author= ...] at the start and [.quote[ at its end.
You can delete all of the quoted text except for a specific line you wish to reply to, or leave it all intact.
Type your response after the [/quote] bracket at the end of the quoted text. Then hit the "Create Post" button at the lower right.
Easy!
