You cannot upload content directly to the forum. Instead you must link pictures to a picture hosting site like Photobucket, Flikr, Tinypic, etc.
detailed instructions coming soon.
The following example pertains to photobucket.
1. Upload a photo
Once you create a photobucket account (its free) you can upload your pictures to their service.
The upload button is at the very top of their screen
After clicking it, a large screen with a blue button in the center saying Choose Photos and Videos will appear.
Click that
This will cause a my-computer folder to appear. Navigate through the folder to wherever you have pictures on your pc that you wish to upload.
Click on the picture you wish to upload
HINT = if you hold down the ctrl button while clicking pictures, you will be able to upload multiple photos.
When you have selected the pictures you wish to upload, click the "open" button at the bottom right of the my computer window.
Congratulations, you have uploaded the picture.
To view it, you can click on the photo, or on the album highlighted in blue about two thirds of the way up the screen.
2. Once you have selected a photo, you will see three boxes next to it labeled Email & IM; Direct; and IMG
Click on the box labeled IMG, and it will briefly turn yellow to indicate the image address (URL) has been copied.
3. Return to the armored forty-eight thread you are composing.
4. right-click the box where you are typing the message and select paste.
5. the copied image URL will be pasted into the box.
If you did it right, it should look something like this in the text.
[.IMG]http://i55.photobuuquet.com/albums/g140/FireflyRK/StewartMobile_zpsd3907ca8.jpg[./IMG] <---ignore the dots in front of the img - those were added to intentionally keep the image from linking.
Notice the url is enclosed between the and [/img] brackets. Those inform the forum software that the url address between them is an image file, and they will display said image in your message after you click the post message button.
Good luck, and I look forward to seeing pictures of everybody's awesome builds soon!
