I have a soft-spot for softskins. I'm building this Tamiya kit mostly as a canvas for some Gaso.Line figures that should arrive in the mail any day now. The kit is pretty basic, particularly underneath. But as I'll be fixing it to a diorama base, I'm not concerned about what's under the chassis. Typical of Tamiya, there are a bunch of ejection marks on the wooden board surfaces. These were filled before the cargo bed was assembled. I'm holding off on building the cab until I get my figures, so that I might position them. Stay tuned for more.

what a coincidence ralphonoso i too am currently working on a protze (tamiyas new pak 36 kit) but im lacking any inspiration for it atm other than maybe making it in dak camo i basically bought it for the pak 36 (making a desert gun emplacement with some figs i have for dak) but figured id build the protze too while im at it but the protze would look kinda silly without the pak behind it so i dunno any suggestions guys?

Decided to move right along. Assembly of the protze was a breeze. I primed it with a mix of tamiya dark gray and blue. The headless driver is an excellent Gaso.line figure that came as a set with the officer I used in my hanomag diorama. Those gaso.line figs are a great bang for the buck.

Looks great so far - have you considered airbrushing some lighter shades of grey on the truck? I find this works well breaking up the monochrome appearance of PanzerGrau. Thanks for sharing your work!

Didimus, I had done that, but the photo was taken with my phone camera, which takes crap pics. So here are some more ;-p I'd say I'm about 85% finished.
