Small-talk: What is your favorite AFV?

In the interest of generating some discussion in our new forum, and to break the ice among new members, I'll start this simple topic?


What are your favorite AFVs?


I've always loved the Matilda. I remember the first time I saw it as a profile drawing in a book, shortly after I began building tanks at the age of eight or nine. I fell in love with the sand skirts and cylindrical turret.

I've built two matildas (Matildae?) in 1/72 over the years, and currently have one in 1/35. I have yet to pick up the 48th scale kit. I don't know why.



A close second is the Brumbar and M3 Lee/Grant.


I guess I like ugly tanks.

ive always loved the lines of the good ole hanomag!
but i think almost all the german tanks and afvs (and even guns) all look awesome

The Sherman in any configuration (although the IDF M-51 is probably my most favorite!)

I'm also partial to the Centurion.

I also like armored cars (especially the Shorland armored patrol car)

I know you said favorite and not favorites, but I couldn't resist.

I would say the Jagdpanther. I loved ever since I built the Matchbox kit as a child.

Centurion & APC from Aliens

I like the M48 & M60. I trained on both, but ther 60 is my track. GREAT FORUM.

Centurian MKIII, M24 Chaffee and M26 Pershing. Have the Tamiya M26, I almost picked up the Aurora Centurion to see if I can update it but have not gotten up the nerve. I wish Tamiya would relase a Centurion and M24 Chaffee.
