I hope not. Seems like anywhere I go & mention 1:48 scale nam era tanks, the site just dries up. There is a lot of talent on this site, I enjoy it very much.

No, it has just been a busy summer. Winter is coming so dust off the keyboard break out the tools and get thathalf built kit ready to rumble. I just finished two Tamiya US infantry and picked up the Airfix Bedford truck. Don't let it fade away.

Regarding this forum, I think it's more than just the summer slowness. Ralph, the creator, or at least admin person, hasn't posted anything since last March. My intro was the 1st since last July. Carol has posted some WIP and finished items earlier this week.
When Ralph announced on another forum (Armorama, maybe?) that this site was up, there was some discussion that there might not be enough interest in 1/48 to sustain it. It looks like that is so.

Ralph hasn't been online since March, I mailed him onthe 25th of July if something was up.... He didn't read it or replied up to this date... To bad he's leaving the site to die...

I still enjoy this site and get inspired to keep improving my next kit by looking at the pictures here. Not dead yet!

I tried last night to come to this board, and instead of the correct layout, I got a wonky page with everything just listed down the side of the screen.
I know this happens at times, when going to a site, due to issues with connection, server, etc..
What it did make me think is, since Ralph seems to be gone, how long did he pay, up front, for the board to be active? Will proboard come along and just delete everything here?
Just a thought.

The M4 pics are great. It is like going to the old hobby shops and looking at finished builds. One of the things I really enjoyed about hobby shops was the chance to go in and see all the built models and get ideas to help me improve my kits and use my imagination. I grew up on Navy bases and they used to have a dedicated hobby shop for the guys stationed on the base. My favorite shop was an off base shop in San Diego called the Command Post. I used to ride my bike five miles to get there and spent an hour just looking at the built kits. So thanks for posting the excellent pictures.

Well, all the 1/48 boards have not been real busy, but I hardly ever check this one any longer. Partly that is because I have been spending more time getting my self back into braille scale.
I have, however, bought my 1st 1/48 kit, and plan to start it soon, with others to follow for a diorama.
As this is board does not have a long history, there isn't a lot to go back to, for ideas and info. So I have been checking, and searching through, the other 2 1/48 boards much more often.
With only 4 of us (I think) who even bother to look here, and no activity from the person who created the board, seems sort of pointless to post here, as opposed to the other forums.
Honestly, I don't think 1/48 armor modeling is popular enough to support 2 forums, never mind 3.
